A postcard photo looking down the Tyne from Bill Quay. Although the postcard is undated we've been able to identify one of the vessels at the Armstrong, Whitworth yard as the Aquitania and she arrived on the 30th of November 1919 to be refurbished and converted from coal to oil burning. Aquitania sailed from the Tyne on Saturday 26th of June 1920.

Amazing photo, Peter, and further, amazing research, to identify the ship, and place it on the Tyne at that time-frame.
I take my hat off to you!
