I have just been informed that a lovely man from my era, Norman Kennedy a Hebburn Quay lad b 1944 from McIntyre or Cuthbert St passed away on Friday. That's all the info I know..
Here he is in the early 1960s in McIntyre St with his Triumph Trophy.

RIP Norman.

So sorry to hear this very sad news, Colin Mcallister and I were just talking about him only a few weeks ago and that Colin hadn't heard from him in an age. Norman was a real steady lad all his life and will be sadly missed. Yes he lived in McIntyre St and we would all meet at his house for a ride out on the bikes. RIP Norman Kennedy.

Sad to hear.Remember Norman and his late wife Helen nee Skipsey had two children lived in School St flats.

I knew Norman in my teenage years, a real genuine lad,so sorry to hear of his passing RIP Norman

I wonder if Jackie Nichol gets on this board?
He was one of the motorcyclists in those days & was a Colliery Lad.
He got a 12 mth ban for speeding so I kept his bike safe in my Garage for a year.

Known jackie for years,never seen him for ages, hope he's OK.
