This photo is from Hebburn friend Derek Dodds (Who also wrote a book on Hebburn) and he took the photo just yesterday (9th Sept) showing the end of shipbuilders 'Hawthorn Leslie's.
Mr Leslie came here from Aberdeen and started by building his first ship 'Clarendon' in 1854 (which was exactly 170 yrs ago).
