Surprise, Surprise, that Toad Starmer and his smirking side kick Rachel Reeves have got their way 348 votes to 228, I sincerely hope that all of those Labour MPs who voted with the Government are so proud of themselves, I just don’t know how they sleep at night in their cosy nests knowing that so many pensioners are not able to keep warm, cowards the lot of them.

I TOTALLY agree with everything you said even the bit that Starmer is a toad.
I wonder how our Liebour MPs voted??

The MP for South Shields and the Labour MP for Jarrow both abstained, but to my mind that is a cowards way out, maybe the abstainers should all wear yellow!!!

One Labour MP voted against their Party not sure who that was but good for them the Whip will probably be removed

I e mailed my MP and as expected did not get any response.
This Government is an absolute disgrace.
Not cutting the winter fuel payment has been in their Manifesto except this last one.
Does that tell you something !!!

I had emailed both local MP’s , no response from either and disgusted that they both abstained instead of having the guts to vote against !

Had the removal of the payment been in the Election Manifesto they would never have got into number 10 and they know that, thats why they waited to make the announcement.
We can all have our day when the Local Elections come around and hopefully the people who voted for them and give them a pass into number 10 will think again and not repeat the same stupid mistake

Apparently RR and KS are refusing to answer questions on whether or not Pensioners will loose their free bus passes, there is also talk about people living alone will loose concessions on Council Tax, RR has said that they benefits will be given to those entitled!!!

I have never ever applied for a free bus pass, reason being it would be of no use to me as I have to the use of a car, if I wanted to use the bus I would have to walk a mile down a single track road to get to the main road, that is just me, I do know that lots of pensioners don’t have access to or the use of a car so a bus pass is a necessity for them , also the elderly have been known to ride on buses to keep warm, if the subsidy, for single occupancy of houses is taken away together with WFA how on earth are basic pension recipients supposed to survive?

Have said for a long time bus passes would be next.We go into town by bus free and appreciate it .Stayed with my dentist in blyth went yesterday roads chaos 40 weeks work with the new railway line every st you tried to get to one way .Never mind a long tale on way back parked no sign not to husband went into a shop traffic warden appeared he gave us a chance while he did car behind rang hubby said run or ticket we were lucky .
