Good to be back online

i was glad to see the board back online, but I still dont know why it was off. maybe Boardhost will tell me eventually?
This photo taken down Hebburn Colliery shows the long gone houses and make me think how lucky we are living today. The men worked down the mine so had plenty coal for their fire, but they didnt have running water like today. Fresh water had to be gotten by walking up to the Clegg Well half a mile away. Before anyone asks thtas not Allan's bike parked up

I am very puzzled by that bike in that the geometry of the front fork appears totally wrong. The head tube appears to be at an angle of say 45 degrees and the norm these days is around 72 degrees. The curve of the fork wrong going backwards instead of forwards. The mudguard is in the correct place so it’s not as if the fork has been turned 180 degrees.

I wonder if someone has been modifying the bike but it would take a lot of skill to weld the bike up.

I’ve looked at loads of bike for sale of that vintage and not seen anything remotely like it.

In every case the fork sweeps forward.

I wonder if the owner took off the mudguard, turned the fork 180 degrees and then put on the mudguard again. Clearance could have been a problem though.

A modification job I think.

The email you sent out regarding the website being down included links to 17 other people, including their email addresses;this is illegal without their permission.

Yes Norman with the link we are able to see all the board regulars e mail addresses .
