Another great Hebburn man.

I have just returned from Quarr Abbey, Isle of Wight. I wanted to learn more about the man who rose to fame as the 4th Abbot of Quarr. Peter wrote several books and some in foreign languages. He taught music in the Vatican and spent a lot of time helping others. He was a good friend of the pope too. Maybe Norman has a photo of this. We sometimes kept in touch but he had a very busy life. It was tragic that his life was cut short by 6 brain tumours and he is now laid to rest with his parents in Hebburn. I attended his funeral which was very emotional to see as 19 monks dressed in white were on the altar. For a man who began his life as a priest or monk, Peter certainly rose to high levels. R.I.P.
