Birth rate

Has been mentioned that the birth rate in the country is down and have just seen a news clip its also down dramatically in Germany over the last two years. Its a pity it can't drop in those African countries where children are being brought into the world when there's water droughts year in year out.

Thomas, you see the advert everyday, of small children in Africa, being treated in a hospital with their mothers looking on. Their mothers are never starving. Sadly perhaps they know another baby will come along next year. I remember over 70 years ago taking pennies to school to save as they were called then ” a black Baby” and you could choose a picture of one from a little book. Nothing much has changed it’s the same every year.

Unfortunately life is cheap in some countries, trying to educate these poorer countries is, I am afraid, a lost cause.

That's amazing Brian, I remember it in the infant school 1945/46. “In the older days” as my girls used to say.
