Norman, I read that and it reminded me, when Alexa was popular I read even when switched off everything was being recorded.

It does make you wonder.... My air-fryer has a Wi-Fi light/function.
When I mentioned this to my other half, she said perhaps to switch it on remotely from my phone.

Now WHY would anyone want to do that?

The GPS anti theft device in my new car has an app that lets you see exactly where the car has been, and the car itself is clearly listening in on conversations because it occasionally chimes in with an “I’m sorry, I don’t understand” type comment from the voice control. It’s really quite scary how much data is being collected about us!

Isn't a pity that our Government cannot stop overseas companys from putting spy devices into our electronic devices. They could if they want restrict the imports of such products.
I noticed for a while that things I've mentioned over my Android phone appeared on my laptop screen advertising the product. It was not until recently I found a Youtube video explaining that our phones are listening in to us. The video showed how to disable this in the phone settings which I promptly did. It is all about advertising in which Google make their money.

I read that the Chinese motorcars coming into our Market may also have spy wear hidden in them. If there was ever a war with China it was said they could switch off all their cars & cause chaos on our roads.

Mobile phones, cctv, GPS,tracking system, online banking, Alexa etc, Of course we are being digitally spied on, it's been happening for a good few years.
