Remember Remember the 5th of November. Such great memories of Bonfires and fireworks, roasted potatoes with black skins. Penny for the guy. Wonder we all survived. I expect there are restrictions on all that now.

Great days Ann but why do we celebrate it when Guy got caught and didn't manage to blow up the H of P?
Still, I love fireworks! 1d bangers as well!

Mr Wears, I believe 5th November is celebrated as a day that TRUELY HONEST MEN entered Parliament with TRUELY HONEST INTENTIONS........and got caught !!

I remember well as a youngster waiting for it to be dark enough to be able to light our little box of fireworks in the back garden. Holding sparklers and watching the “trail” as you waved them around. I also remember London Lights, the little matches that burned red or green. Happy days!

Where I live in California now it is illegal to have fireworks because of wildfire risks, so it’s professional displays only on 4th of July etc. No Guy Fawkes over here of course,
