UK electricity compared to other countries

I was sent this to put on the board.
I noticed it is for Industrial users but not sure if its the same for Household electricity.
WHY????

Just goes to prove we can compete with other Countries in the Market place when our energy prices are out of control, bring back COAL.

If Ed Miliband gets his way we will have to rely on renewable energy, as everything else will be cancelled. Goodness knows how industry will survive, but we might end up like North Korea, light out every night at 7.00 pm.

And aren't we still shipping in "bio-fuel" (aka WOOD) from Canada, to fuel power stations?

HOW green is THAT? And at what cost?

And the cost isn't just £££ notes!

We chop down trees in Canada (We need trees, and critisize the likes of Brazil for cutting down the rain forest)

Then ship it 3,000+ miles in a ship that burns oil...

Bit like the "green electric car" metals for the magnets ripped out of the earth in China (go figure) shipped around the earth as components, finally assembled in whatever country.

It's reckoned that an EV will take 40 years before becoming "carbon neutral"....

Do you see many 40 year old cars around? So it will be scrapped LONG before it's paid back it's cost to the planet.

Rant over.....

And before anyone mentions that I drive a 44-year-old Porsche...that's clearly NOT the norm

Ed Milliband has been given 1.5billion for off shore wind Power. Labour wants to see it quadrupled by 2030. They won’t be built in the UK. So no jobs for us. We will be a laughing stock of the world while we freeze to death. Lots of wind turbines all over the countryside, if they can find anywhere that is free of solar power panels .

There is coal supplies underground that would last for a long time. Surely there must be technologies that can neutralise gasses etc.

David no matter what the government they tend to go opencast, people don't want to live amongst this method of extractions, a lot of coal is still under urban areas so it rules that out too.

It's probably too late to start deep mining again. All our mining skills will be lost.It would be the same if we tried to bring the Shipyards back to the Tyne.

The world need ships and apprenticeships can be brought back. AP could be expanded Leslie's should have been kept as doc/museum similar to Chatham Dockyard.
