Peter. I met your late Dad John Scanlon a couple of times. He loved Local History and helped me with some old photos.

I could be Billy Ward went to Clegwell he lived in Campbell st just off Argyle st..J on Billy's left could be Matty DAGLISH he also went to Clegwell.and lived in Holystone st,l feel sure if Lilian was still on the board she would clarify it as he had a sister called Shirley about Lilian's age and l think she went to the Powerhouse in the 50s.?

That is interesting Tom.
I Was born Oct 1927 in 15 Campbell Street.Living at (I think number 6 Campbell Street) at that time I remember a young lad with the surname WARD, his first name,I am almost sure, was ALLAN or perhaps ALAN..We were within a year or two of each other.One house below at number 4 is where Robert (ROBBIE) Henderson lived. (Henderson's Taxi)
