The well known 'Chi' in South Shields 1950ish

A well known view of what is knows simply as 'Chi' 1950ish & a recent view of it from Google earth.

Used to go through that Roundabout many times to visit a cousin or an Aunt way back.

I think I would be lost in that area now.

Slightly off topic, didn't they DUMP the statue of Queen Victoria near the roundabout ?

That is like a flash-back in memory, those flower covered roundabouts, with a host of over-head wires.

I don't recall this specific location, but the memory is very vivid, of being driven around Shields, and seeing those sights, as a youngster!
