Nissan under threat

Threat of possible closure in the newspapers.

Hope not but this e car thing not helping.

There is a lot more to it though.

Alan, how many times have we all heard closure threats from Nissan, during Brexit etc.
Its the most successful car plant in Europe
If a possible closure was about to happen why are they at the moment spending hundreds of millions building a new EV battery manufacturing plant ?

Read the items in the newspapers about it.

If the battery plant is not up and running it could be scrubbed. The building could be repurposed anyway.

Part of it is that the models they now make are out of date, that’s is part of what was said. I have no idea.

Hard to believe Nissan one of the most successful car makers in the world would make a massive blunder like that, think it belongs in the load of bull category.

My neighbour bought a new Nissan Qashqai a few months ago, it’s a Beautiful car. How on earth can it be out of date.

Sheila,I agree with you, my Qashqai E Power automatic was bought new on 1st of November 2024 and is certainly not out of date I suggest Alan takes a look at Nissan cars spec sheet he will be amazed at the amount of safety features and gadgets new cars have, most of them of course will be new to him as his car is 12 years old

It’s not so much Nissan itself but the owners I gather.

Those were the type of words used.

The out of date was that other car manufacturers like Kia have maybe better styling.

Certainly the Kia range now has some great looking cars TOO ME that is.

Once a company starts to sell what ever at a reasonable price the old companies and Govenments that have been ripping customers off for years start to fold, after all the profits have dwindled. (Rip Off Britten has to come to an end)
