The LA Fires. Blame game started

Never been to the USA but would have loved to.
That area has always been plagued with wildfires and yet they appear to have never taken basic fire precautions like fire brakes.
The residents have surrounded their homes with combustible material, trees an bushes etc.
The there are those very rich people who have used far too much of the water supplies.
The property of That Kim K used way over their water allowance by 232,000 gallons ( US)
Air photos show that property surrounded by trees and bushes. Some appear to be very very close to the external walls MAD.
The Goverment and mayor of the area useless.
Just read the info that’s available on line.
I know from the heat we had this summer on our garden and woods that there could be problems so watching out.
We may in future have to cut back the number of trees etc. but ground plants probably being the main problem as that’s where fires tend to start.
Three trees close to building may have to go If. Assessment required!
It appears that over 10,000 properties have gone.
Big big time cockup, it should never never have happened.

As a result or these fires there is going to be a massive requirement for construction workers to rebuild.
I would guess that there will not be enough tradesmen available in the area or maybe the whole of the USA. However tradespeople from the U.K. could get work over there.
All would depend on what or how to switch over to US regs.

Allan, I agree with you, prime building sites of more expensive homes are often built in a wooded clearing with a drilled or dug well for water.Apart from the risk of bush fires often sitting outside can be unpleasant during Black Fly and Moskito season. Very often smaller locations rely on volunteer firemen with limited equipment.
