The present Government just haven’t got a clue, they never think things through, they just jump in with both fee. Did it not occur to them that if someone is a benefits cheat to begin with, loosing their driving licence won’t stop them from driving a car without one, it just follows on from cheating the system!!

A cheat is a cheat...

This mornings news: they "paraded" a couple of disabled ladies, who were clearly worried about losing benefits...

But SURELY, this is about the CHEATERS, not those that clearly need that benefit?

I WAS surprised to hear that the benefit budget is BIGGER than the Defence budget !!!!

Beggars belief!!

That’s the point Malcolm, a cheat is a cheat whatever is said and done. The Benefits expenditure is colossal it definitely needs attention, far to many people on long term sickness benefit, I was reading that in some cases people are allowed to self certify for certain conditions, it’s all wrong, it seems the ‘new’ back problem is now Depression, doctors just seem to hand out antidepressants like smarties. Obviously it goes without saying that needy people should receive their entitlement but malingers should not be given benefits, a very vicious circle that will only get worse.

Malcolm, I don’t think they will sort it out, it’s all talk pretending they are doing something, the Tories tried, Ian Duncan Smith had good ideas but it all came to nothing, wish someone, of any colour, had the guts to do something about it, I have never, in my life, claimed a penny.

They see a problem, and if they had the b***s to address it properly, it would make a HUGE difference..

It's about "Grabbing the Thistle"...hurts for a bit.. but...need I go on...

I wonder how many of the extras half a million illegals immigrants living in London are on benefits. Illegals not supposed to get benefits, but they can get around it with help. A survey paid for by Thames Water have an accurate account of people living in London by the water used and that is the figure they came up with.

If only we could get some half-wits into Government that would improve on the current situation.
The Morons in charge are virtue signallers.
Liz you are spot on......there are thousands driving without licences/insurance already.....many of them will have already cheated elsewhere.......benefits come to mind.
Also the knife/identity thing is just as daft. Has it never occurred to the brainless that in most homes there is already a weapon in the knife draw? Or a hammer or screwdriver in the tool box? An axe in the garden shed? Are they to be subject to the same daft rules?
I despair. Millions of people up and down the country spotted all this nonsense as it was being announced yesterday. Meanwhile the 402 Labour MP's said nowt!!
