Many years ago I walked my two sons the length of the pier right up to the lighthouse..they must have been around 7 and 9..its longer than you may think..on reaching the lighthouse they looked up at me and asked how do we get back now dad..I wish I had a photo of their faces when I replied..same way as we got here..

But could not find it. A question

What a spectacular photo Norman. Believe the dista ce along pier to lighthouse is one mile ? Ged b., That little story is very funny. Thank you all. I've walked it many times the last time I looked for the small China Doll cemented into the lighthouse but I could not find it. A question, has the damaged from the storm been repaired ?

The pier is just 100ft short of a mile in old fashioned money!
I used to love the walk there and back.

Thank you Mac C. When in town my favorite walk, I always made time for it. I often wondered why some enterpriseing person didn't run a shuttle services the length of the pier.
