Just been watching a disgraceful meeting in The White House where President Trump and his Vice President were bullying the President of Ukraine. A total disgrace and makes it look more and more that Trump is buddy buddy with Putin.

Mac, it was dreadful. I couldn’t believe their bad behaviour. Bullying is the correct word for it. They should be ashamed of themselves. I don’t envy King Charles having to entertain him as a a special guest. He should never have been offered a State Visit so soon.

Sheila, Trump hasn't left the USA since being elected. Heads of other countries have traveled to USA to meet with him. Hopefully he will not step foot on UK soil.

GB, he will love being given a state visit. I’m sure it’s the government who decides. The King can’t be involved in politics.

But I'll add, having found myself feeling anger (a rare thing for me) watching the exchange, then something else..

Yes, Mac, it was clearly bullying: The President of the USA & his VP BULLYING Zelinsky, there's NO other word for it...and it was disgusting..

Let's see what the world press has to say tomorrow...

Absolute disgrace. Has nobody thought that if Zelnsky had been involved right from the start of the so called peace-deal, what we have witnessed today wouldn’t of happened.

Already, many Americans are thanking Trump, including politicians. As Norman mentioned a while ago, lots of people voted for him. I agree it was dreadful treatment for a Head of a State , they invited to the White House.

Malcolm, as far as I have read . A lots of Americans are fed up with their billions propping up NATO while the West are not paying enough into it. Some are not seeing it as bullying , which of course it is, they just see a war continuing with tax and want it to be. Of course it’s protectionist, we will have to see how it works out. My guess is we might have to agree to pay even more to help the Ukrainians if Trump pulls out. As a country at the moment our domestic bills are going to be a lot higher this next tax year.

Yes it was like a scene of the OK coral, total bullying, one brave man against the greed of the US, yet no one clicked on the reason of this meeting was not for peace, it was for the minerals, Elon Musk, needs Lithium and the other component's for his electric vehicles and other device, the same as Putin want them for weapons, it was not about peace it was for power, they wanted the deal weapons for the minerals, lets use see what our joke PM will try and indeed NATO the other joke I can only hope that the rest of the so-called EU see that too.

Vance recently lectured Europe on free speech. I didn't detect any free speech being allowed when Vance and Trump attacked Zelensky yesterday and constantly shouted him down.

Nobody should be in the least surprised at the behaviour we have seen this week. Since 2015, Donald Trump has shown us, over and over again EXACTLY who and what he is. And unfortunately the American people said "yes, this is the man we want as our leader."

Money, power and adulation are the only things he cares about. He will quite happily run the country into the ground if it gets him those things.

WeLL., ,my Wise Old Granny would have said... if you don't have anything nice to say about a person..Say nothing. So on a posative note, Trump is imposing tariffs this Tuesday on Canada and many others ? THE GOOD THING hopefully is a wake up call, Canada, dont ever again be, almost,
totaly reliant on the USA for trade, tighten your belt, explore your options. We no longer live next door to a neighbour.
