George Armstrong and Ronnie Tatum

Photo of George on his debut for Arsenal 1962 age 17 I understand.

I gather Ronnie Tatum was good as well but never got a brake.

Ann knew that both as lived close to them.

Didn't recognise that photo of George, must be my eyes, or a bad photo.

I’ve no idea if it’s George as never met him. As people change in their younger days and if George was in training a big change from school days.

I went through St Aloysius school with Geordie Armstrong 1949 to 59 and wouldn't recognise him on that photo either. I'd like to see a better scan of it.
Yes Ronnie Tatum was another good footballer and went to Clegwell those years.

Ann does not recognise him in that photo. There is one photo in the Arsenal website there being a lot which is possibly similar with short hair

I am checking back where the photo originated maybe it was incorrectly labelled.

It came from Georges Daughter Jill after being found in the papers of the late Bob Wilson Arsenal goalkeeper and TV presenter.

Cannot say more.

I lived in Jutland avenue not far from George Armstrong was a bit younger than me as l recall l think the photo in my view is not George Armstrong .?Its about 70 odd years ago since l last clapped eyes on him .as usual of him carrying a ball with his class mates walking over the wooden bridge to his home near Clegwell.
