Our oldest regular Robert Noble

I hadnt seen 1927 born Robert on here for a little while so emailed him a couple of days ago to ask if he is OK.
Last night he phoned from his home in Bristol to say he is OK & still enjoys reading the posts on the board.
Long may you enjoy the board Robert.
For newer visitors, Robert was born in long gone Campbell St that started at Argyle St and had the 'Wooden Bridge' at the other end. He would have started at the Quay School 1932.

Bob I gather you started out life in Campbell St.This is a long shot,I know, but have you any recollection, as a youngster, of an old couple who lived at number 11? They were Richard (probably called Dick) and Alice Tweddell and they died in 1932/3. They were my Mam's paternal grandparents.

Hello Peter.Sorry, I only remember the Hann family living at number 11 Campbell Street in my time, they had two girls, twins, I think. Nancy and Jessy.

I checked my 1910 Rates List & Richard Tweddell lived at 11 Campbell St.
The only person named on Rates lists is the person who pays the rent.

that my great grand parents were still at no.11 until their deaths (1932/33)so I imagine the Hann family were the next residents.
