What a joke!

Just been reading this from the MSN news page. This country is beyond a joke. What if all the councils start doing this? Why is it so important that these people should have a driving license? Most cannot speak English or read for that matter. I can see lots of problems arising. I wonder if they will have cars bought for them. Councils will keep putting up the coucil tax to cover this mad spending.
"Refugees learning to drive in UK given £30k for lessons from taxpayers
Refugees granted asylum and now learning to drive have cost taxpayers nearly £30,000 in three years.
More than £20,000 was spent by Kent County Council alone on lessons and tests for refugees in the past 12 months.
The amount was four times higher than the previous year when £5,028 was spent and in 2022/23, £3,567 was spent taking the total over three years to ££28,740.
More than 150,000 migrants have arrived in Kent via the Channel, with 4,000 this year.
One local described the figures as 'disgraceful' while protestors have called for the council to stop the payments.
He told the Sun: 'I find it absolutely disgraceful that refugees are being taught to drive at our expense.
'Not only is our council tax rising by five per cent this year, Kent is the front line when it comes to illegal channel crossings. Just how much more will be frittered away?'"

They are being taught to drive so that they can take part in the Motorbility Schemes that I have been reading about, that is another disgrace, so annoying.

If I put what I'm thinking, I'd be wiped of this lovely board. When I left Norway around 2006 after a good life, the Norwegians said I'd be sorry one day. How right they were...Are we second rate to illegal immigrants? Starmer thinks so....No other country would put up with him...

Reading what Ricky posted is so depressing. Why is not publicised in the Newspapers, TV etc.? What do our MPs do when they read this? They are supposed to represent and speak for us. We constantly encourage the 3rd world to get a Dinghy and come over to the UK where they will be better cared for than UK citizens .
