Remember it well - I think that the Palladium cinema was just up the road to the right - Harton road I think.

A big thankyou Peter for showing my home stomping grounds., Alan the last time I visited the Nook the movie theater you mentioned was converted into a grocery store. The remainingder of the Nook has not changed over the decades and still remains a nice neighbourhood shopping centre.NO BOX STORES. My remaining 5 siberlings all Iive within 5 minute drive of the Nook. With the exception of myself they all retururned to live out their lives in the area.
