Friend, Gerry Roberts ex St Aloysius school, has been running his own Company in Steamboat Springs, Colorado in the USA for many years.
They have an innovation' that will generate 25KW of electricity from moving water.
Water in our rivers,streams and even our Mine water flowing back into the mine after heat's removed from it will create clean electricity.
Below is a photo of the rotating element currently on the way to the UK to be used in the Tyne.
By coincidence Gerry now has his old Aloysius classmate Stephen Mongan as a Business Partner and they already have Company offices in Jarrow.
As Ive said previously Gerry's long term ambition was to create work for his home town & the area.
Hopefully, just like what Alphonse Reyrolle, Mr Palmer & Andrew Leslie did.

Producing clean electricity without having to burn fossil fuels is just what this world needs.

Looks good, a sort of paddle wheel type thing.

Be interesting to see where they can site it for water flow and it will only work either on the flood or the ebb unless the housing can swivel around to take advantage of both.

Norman has the council said anything about this if it’s actually been talked about with them.

Just minded of the hassle you got with your photos. OK it’s not the same BUT.

Hope it’s just me being pessimistic!

Gerry and business partner Stephen are experienced Businessmen and know how to work with Local Authorities. They have everything well organised with Viking Energy management.
Ive been to Viking Energy's Plant on the Jarrow- Hebburn Border with both Gerry & Stephen and there was no elephants around

We always hear about the old industries disappearing. Many for obvious reasons!
The future lies in new technologies like this and yet to be discovered.
