As usual I have added a lot of locations to the photo. Note how the Jarrow & Hebburn border must waver around because Franklin & Nansen St are both in Jarrow.

I was born in Nansen Street and my grans Half sister lived in Franklin Street

Franklin & Nansen streets were in Jarrow.
The border must twist and turn because the 'The Royal Hotel' (White Lead) is in Hebburn & those Staiths were called 'Jarrow Staiths'. Strange how they created that border

I too was born in Nansen Street
And spent about 30 years growing up up there
I have some difficulty with aerial views.
Everything seems so flat.

Our jeoff and Harry Oughton worked on the staiths to send the wagons to get tipped.

My playground when a wee kid the pit, and my local the Clock, when a lot older. We lived in Frobisher St
