AJG (Andrew Gilhooley) in California had family living at 48 Prince Consort Rd. This aerial view from 'Britain from Above' shows the area of PC Rd where number 48 was.
Depending when Andrew's relatives lived there, some of them could be looking up at the aircraft

Thanks for posting this wonderful photo Norman! It's amazing how clear it is for its age, isn't it?

My grandmother's sister Mary Corbitt (nee Addams) and her husband Simon could have been living on Prince Consort Road at this time. They ended up having five children: Mary (married name Harrison), Margaret (married name Pereira), Betty (married name Flannagan), Kathleen (married name Hollands) and Joe. Some of these children were on the photos I sent you a little while back.

I love that photo! My dad Harry Jackson was 6 years old then and it’s entirely possible that he and his sisters and brother were in that group. I’d like to think they are.

Can I just point out that 'I' on this picture isn't actually the clinic but part of the Council Offices which were pulled down sometime in the 30's, I imagine, to create space for the clinic. I remember this topic being discussed at length some years ago.

what a brilliant picture, Norman , you are amazing.We came to live in Arthur St in 1940, and left in 1948. My memories of Hebburn in WW2 are vivid and never leave me. They shaped my whole life, and I am a better person for it. thank you

Thanks for the nice words Elizabeth. Ive sent you an email. I had been wondering about you as you havent been on the board a lot recently. As you know we have lost quite a few old regulars like Alan la Ruste, Norman Holmes and Lilian Flack to name just 3. This old age club isnt much fun Elizabeth.

Sorry Geordieboy ns but when I said we've lost those 3 regulars I didn't mean they had died. Alan might have found something else to do with his life.
