I've just logged out of my email account and it goes to MSN news. I was faced with this.

WW3 fears as Brits warned to prep '72-hour survival kit' while Putin plots 'attack'

Brits have been warned to prepare a '72-hour survival kit' over fears Mad Vlad is planning to attack the country's most important gas pipeline — just like they did to Germany's Nord Stream in 2022.

EU security chiefs have already advised EU countries to pack a three-day survival kit in the event that Russia attacks their energy systems. Now, Brits are being urged to do the same thing, reports Mail.

The survival kit should include water, non-perishable food like tins of beans and Spam, medicines, a battery-powered radio, a torch, identity documents and a Swiss Army knife.

Thought it was a late April Fools.

Anyway, got to nip out now to the Co-op for some tins of Spam :-)

I heard this several days ago, and to be honest, in this day & age, I already have 72 hours of food, and more, tinned good, frozen, SPAM, of course, torches, Swiss army knife? have several versions.....Identity documents???? Really?

We're NOT living in 1939....last time I checked my diary......

Have about two weeks or more food bottled water propane generator good for about a week or more for electricity plus Well water, cash, close to full tank of petrol in both cars, first aid supplies., what I don't have and will shortly, shot gun or similar weapon and surveillance cameras for intruders. Welcome to the new world.

My comment wasnt about the liklihood of an attack but simply to say that the "survival post" story is absolute rubbish.

Mac , it's not rubbish, it was on the internet and on MSN news too. The internet doesn't tell lies :-)

Anyway, I'm nearly ready with my prepping. Just need some more tins of Spam!

In reality , I dont have the room to stock up with tins of Spam and a Swiss Army knife. I dont think it would be worth while. But some people do, there is a large group of preppers in America with underground bunkers, firearms, stocks of food and ammo etc. They've been thinking something is going to kick off for years. Who knows?

My preperations are mostly weather related but commone sense. My car is also emergency equipped and as my house is fairly isolated security is peace of mind. Norman, probably a lot of folks are thinking the same.
