NHS Waste.

My partner is now home after 3 months in hospital so they sent a zimmer frame with her. She already has one so I told them to take it back but they refused saying "she has to have it". Tomorrow they're still delivering another piece of equipment which we already have and again, they refuse to take it back. We can't give it to a home on the grounds of "health and safety" ! No wonder the NHS is in dire straights. The waste is disgusting...

The other day I read that last year the NHS wrote off £250 million in NHS treatment to foreigners who never paid what they owed, personally I think that tourists from countries that we don’t have reciprocal arrange nuts with should be made to take our travel insurance when flying to the UK, no insurance no admittance. Airlines who fly in heavily pregnant women, who are obviously health tourists should be given a very substantial fine. Sorry if this upsets people but I don’t see why we should be constantly funding an NHS system that squanders the Tax Payers money.

They will take them back when you're finished with them. Social services usually have a depot that takes them too. Try them they may be able to help.

This is what they argue over and never tell you who will take the items..thank you for the info Brian.

When my late mum was alive she was given loads of equipment by Gateshead Social Services, as her dementia continued to deteriorate she needed different types of beds, give them their due Social Services provided numerous beds as and when they were needed along with other useful other pieces of equipment.

When we had no further use I called Social Services, they gave me a date and time when the would come and collect everything, hope Liverpool Social Services are as efficient Stan, good luck.
