My reply to Alan Campbell after yesterday's events

There is no excuse for the way you went on yesterday.Very disrespectul stupid replies even though everyone else understood what I meant except you.
You are only apologising because you will be lost without this 'Hebburn and our Neighbours' board.
As you will have already read after your very disrespectful posts, not one person liked the way you went on and on & you even had the cheek to ask me to apologise to you after I'd already said 'I did nothing wrong so would not be apologising'.
Then you questioned if this Board has basically passed its sell by date which was further cheek and why I replied 'You know what to do then' or words tho that effect.
Apart from the posts backing me I also had emails supporting me.
You are not at work so stop trying to be the Boss.

Well said Norman,I love this site as do many others and there is no excuse for bad manners or upsetting comments. Anyone who is dissatisfied can leave although I would never be one of them, look forward to reading the Historical information and friendly comment each day. Keep up the good work .

That particular day was a very off day for me and said things that I really should not have. I am not going to explain why it happened.

I did not say that the board is past its sell by date. It’s just that Certain things are now coming on the board these (posted by a just a few people) days which I feel why put that on the board ! But that’s only my opinion so do not comment.

I’m not going to say any more.

There is no excuse for that behaviour so dont blame your moods or whatever.
It is as simple as that.
You only apologised because what else will you do if there was no message board for you ???.

Sorry you feel like that. I have said sorry and do mean it.

I think I know why I reacted the way that I did but not going to tell all and sundry why as very personal.

All I will say that circumstance occurred that made me sort of throw a wobbly and I took it out on you in total error.

If you cannot accept my apology so be it.

As regards the board I may not be able to get any WiFi in the wilds of the North. Going to a favourite retreat.

Malcolm,
I stand by what I said.
Allan Campbell only apologised because he needs to be on my board and will be lost without it.
I've already proved I was correct after seeing his subsequent posts. Its as if the problem he caused never happened and he just carries on posting.
He definitely implied the board is maybe passed its sell by date' (Take a read of his post) and then had the cheek to say (his words) 'certain things are coming on the board these days (posted by just a few people) which I feel 'why put that on the board.
Of course its never him that puts stuff on that we arent interested in is it?

Some people,me included get sick of hearing the same stuff from him.

I've had plenty support via posts & emails for handling this matter and you are the only one who sympathised with him Malcolm.

I have to agree Norman, I too wondered to whom Allan was referring to with his comments about postings on the Board, point is individuals post what they feel it is relevant, to them yes and maybe others, but sometimes there is boring stuff posted that doesn’t appeal to all, but we don’t mind not everyone likes the same things, at the end of the day it is your Board if you don’t like what is posted then it is your decision to remove the post.

Don’t understand what is going on, the majority of people who use this site have the utmost respect for other users. I found this site purely by accident, best thing since sliced bread ! Look forward to reading members comments and views every day, keep up the good work Norman and your team !

I found the site by accident too, I was searching for information on the Trinity car park in Gateshead that was being pulled down. I think the chap was called Kevin (dont see much of him on the board now) and he put up loads of photos as the car park was being dismantled. This was years ago before Norman took over. I've liked the forum ever since and visit everyday. Some old pictures, jokes and various topics makes pleasant reading. Long may it reign too. Thanks to Norman for keeping it going. I'm originally from Whickham but now live in Northumberland but will always love the Tyne & Wear area.

Of course I regret what I said to Norman and said sorry. It should not have happened.

I think that I now know why it occurred in that there was a combination of events and other things that occurred for me to have a sort of brake down STRESS I suppose

Thank goodness it’s mostly gone now as certain problems resolved or reduced or handled stuff that had got on top of me.

I hope that the wilds of Northumberland will wash them away

What triggered my post that caused all this ?

I had another suspected Heart attack a few weeks ago and there are other things in the mix. Plus there are other Heath related problems of not only me.

Those of wiser heads would I hope thought what’s got into Allan, what prompted that ?

As for the board it’s been excellent for many years and still is only it it now seems more political than before. That no doubt because of the rubbish Goverment we now have.

We appear to now have been banned from commenting on that of the government of our US friends. For that read the press.

Norman is complaining that I am still posting. I’ve said sorry and put it behind me. I very rarely hold a grudge and bin them quickly.

Hi Malcolm,
I knew all along you were 'peace making' but still supporting me.
BUT I was not going to let him get away with his stupid excuses.
Then he had the cheek to criticise people when he said 'Why did they put that on the board ?.
Guess what? HE is the biggest cuplprit so he shouldnt call anyone for that.
A recent example is the car he admired in a Harrogate carpark so he photographed it & put it on the board. Why would we want to see a car in a Harrogate carpark?
He only apologised, (reluctantly) for his controlling behaviour because he desperately needs to be on this board every day.
He wondered if the board is passed its sell by date so maybe he plans to move to a Face Book site now

The thing about this Forum is it attracts so many different takes on life and topics of interest, I am sure a few days ago we ladies, Maria, Sheila and I had a wonderful time reminiscing about clothes, handbags etc, the men must have been bored to death but they didn’t have to read what was posted, I for one am not interested in cars or the like so I don’t bother to read posts about that kind of thing.

Everyone keep posting what interests you and what you think will be of interest to others, if the post catches our eye we will read it and most probably pass a comment.

Well done Norman and his Admins for allowing us to post what we do, long may this continue.

Sheila that will be a lovely coat keep it I would.Have got nothing myself of any age but I wish I was the same size and had the coat I bought in a little fashion shop on Northumberland St many years ago Scarlet Red black buttons had it as a going away outfit after my Wedding 1965 loved it.

I have to admit I have a mink coat, I haven’t worn it in quite sometime, nit because of woke issues but whenever we go anywhere these days I am always in the car, i will never get rid of it though.

Liz nice hold on to it you never know you may wear it again. I found in Wardrobe a Gerry Webber anorak wearing at moment nice soft colour light weight nice fit had good few years got it in sale at Fenwicks.Of all the Anoraks I have got like this one the best .

Sheila I have a beautiful curly lamb coat which is well over 50 years old. I loved it and still do, but it is now far too heavy for me to wear. Just can't let it go.

Far too shy to share that, Liz. But when I rebuilt my kitchen a year ago, going from dark brown wood and broken 1960's tiling, to open plan modern, 50 shades of gray, i decided...add plants and flowers...so always fresh flowers...Love it to bits, and love cooking in there...but took me 5 months to rebuild it.... and still that space...
