I've just had the unexpected and sad news from John Shearer's sister Laura that her lovely brother John died peacefully in bed on Sunday.
John was a board regular and we will miss his always sensible posts.

A Shock a lovely man. Deepest Condolences to Johns family . The quay Clegwell And meeting John by chance in Didcot when he was working at the Power Station he came to our house and he and Eddie went for a drink and a game of darts.RIP DearJohn.Maria .

John Shearer was a lovely man and he will really be missed. (Just like we miss you Lilian).

Really sad news, John was always interesting, I always looked forward to reading about his many and varied jobs and locations.
A great supporter of the Hebburn Message Board right from the days of Mike Ellison through to Norman's current Board.
My condolences to John's family.
