Cupid is winged and fleet of foot Not a wise old owl who gives a hoot A selector who delights in pairing Mismatched couples who end up swearing Eternal vows against all odds To tickle his fancy and amuse the gods
Don’t blame it on the moonlight The music or the booze When couples seek a partner Eros guides them when they choose
So when you spy an ill-matched pair The protagonists aren’t stupid The person to blame,the villain to shame Is that mischief maker CUPID !
