The 1909 built Sulev in Mercantile, Jarrow No2 dry-dock in 1949. She was broken up in 1954.

.l was an apprentice in mercantile dry dock in the early seventies when that very same steam crane in the Peter cook photo toppled over and the jib hung right over and into the the dry dock . My job was to demolish it with an oxy acetylene burner with help from a boiler makers helper and the crane diver . Probably one of the best jobs l had working in there .The crane itself was steam powered by an old fashioned coal boiler to which l have the plaque off it , hopefully l have uploaded a picture of this .The crane itself was originally made in Glasgow l think 1868 ? , but that plaque was way too big to smuggle out of the yard
