A really terrible bombing on Tyneside WW2

A friend that lives in Newbiggin told me about one of the worst bombing incidents outside of London & it was up here on Tyneside.
It was the 'Pop' Factory in North Shields.

We hear about the terrible results of the bombings from all over the country and even locally but this is the first time I have heard about this tragedy. A truly terrible event.

And it makes me wonder, was there any kind of memorial, or plaque put in place?

That was a massive loss of civilian life, from one random bomb....
