THE RAF WEBSITE TELLS US THAT GROUP CAPTAIN LOUISE HENTON OBE ADC BA (HONS) MA THE BRIZE NOTON C.O HAS COMPLETED COMMAND AND STAFF APPOINTMENTS IN PERSONNEL, MEDIA, RECRUITMENT, PROGRAMMES AND PLANS, AND HUMAN RESOURCES.PROMOTED TO GROUP CAPTAIN IN AUG 22, SHE WAS RECENTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR DELIVERY OF THE MODERNISATION OF CAREER MANAGEMENT PRACTICES AND PROTOCOL. Nothing about security then? But with an impressive list of academic and other awards you might have thought she would have spotted the boundary fence issue!! I guess a "gunner" might have noticed it as less challenging than a regular garden fence. But I would like to bet that she was on it....... but the bean counters didn't like the spend!!

Like terrorists give a stuff about that?
The bottom line is THAT was a serious breach of security, in the biggest way. Taking out aircraft on the ground is the MOST effective way to disable any Air Force.

And, of course, history repeats itself, yet we repeatedly DON'T learn from history...
Her academic qualifications reminds me of how our Police Service went downhill when they started fast track academics into the top jobs. They behave more like social workers than police. I think that is why the Dorset policeman, with past recommendations lost his job. I’m not saying he should not have been punished, only he should not have been sacked, so many retired police have said the same.
