It's sad that those lovely people looking at the photographer taking photos will no longer be around as this was 100 years ago.
Frankie's Cafe's were the well known business selling fish n chips then but these days its Colman's.

Might be canny weather Norman but the ladies all have heavy coats on and all wearing hats.

That's something I could never understand.even on a red hot scorching day every one would dress for winter, modesty or what, no clue.

People had 'best or good clothes' in the old days.
Those people are in their best clothes on a day out.
No track suits orleisure wear in those days.
If you remember, you only got your new clothes at Easter.

I do remember getting new clothes at Easter time including a bonnet, but I also git new dresses when Bill Quay Chapel had what was known as the Anniversary, I think this was in May or thereabouts.
