There's a lot of pubs that don't allow football tops, flags etc, at the end if the day a licensee can decide who to serve as part of terms as a licensee, that is what will be quoted.

Correctly so Brian. If someone came into my local wearing a Union or St G's flag wrapped around them I wouldn't be best pleased.
That does not reflect on my patriotism. Just there are reasons to observe social mores that define acceptable, expected behavior within a society or social group!

I thought the same thing when I saw it. A lot of pubs ban that kind of thing because they know that the knuckleheads will kick off when they are drunk and see the opposing team's shirt or whatever.

Speaking of knuckleheads, some of the comments on that page, oh boy!!
