THE TOTALLY USELESS Starmer ignored MI6 warnings that Lord Mandelson was unsuitable for the US Ambassador job due to links with Epstein and paedos.

I lived in Hartlepool and so did he and he was alleged to have had gay activity then. Starmer must have known about that...

He was twice sacked from Blairs government for dishonesty, but Brown made him a Lord to get him back into government. Though he has now been sacked, it appears he has been very good at his job as USA Ambassador.

Wow, I’ve just read Peter Mandelson is set for a six figure settlement after being sacked from his job, also a pension.

Mandelson as a former EU Commisioner became entitled to a £31,000 pension upon reaching 65 ie 6 years ago.
He is a multi millionaire and has always been surrounded with sleaze. Just google it to see.

When I had my Business, I had a visit from the VAT man. He wanted to know what car I drove and where did we go on holiday.
How do these greedy MPs suddenly become millionaires and its accepted as normal.
Where did Mandelson,Rayner and Reeves acquire their massive wealth because their salaries wouldn't have added up to millions. Will they be investigated?????

It seems when you are an MP the rich seem to want you as a friend, I wonder if gifts are given for favours, who knows!

Mandelson has or had a massive house just next to Regents Park that he shares with his Brazilian other half.

His EU Pension is quite a good one, why must he receive a payout especially as he has been sacked be because of more sleaze.

I sincerely hope that someone in the House of Commons challenges Starmer on this case because if Starmer is found to tell lies in the HC he will have to resign, I hope he gets hounded just like the Labour MPs hounded Boris Johnson.

Malcolm, I don’t agree with these bumper payments MPs receive when they are removed from Office, in the commercial world if you are sacked for a misdemeanour you most certainly do not get rewarded, same thing if you get demoted because you are not up to the job.

With regards to Pensions that grand old Labour Chancellor, one Gordon Brown, completely ruined one of the world’s best institutions, it has never recovered. I don’t agree that we should be paying into the gold plated pension pots of the Civil Servants so that they can receive final salary pensions that we, the tax payer, can never receive, the system doesn’t seem to apply to the Armed Force which I find very strange considering they put their life’s at risk for this Country, I don’t think their Pensions are great.

Years ago Civil Servants were considered to be low paid, this payment was made up with very substantial pension contributions, that is not the case these days so the current arrangements should cease.

No job, these days, is considered to be guaranteed for life so I don’t see why MPs who loose their seats should receive compensation, they all know what they are signing up to when putting themselves up for Election, the remuneration, plus all of the benefits they receive is adequate compensation for doing a job some of them, in my opinion, are not capable of doing, the current Chancellor springs to mind.

Liz I wonder if that was the house he borrowed the £373,000 deposit from Geoffrey Robinson. That was 1998 so it will be worth millions now. I suppose he has moved on.

It must be about 12 years ago when I was alerted to the property near Regents Park that was owned by Mandelson, my old Boss was looking for a house at that time and the Estate Agent just couldn’t resist mentioning Mandelson’s house as it could be seen from the house that was being viewed.

ORIGINALLY the Labour Party was a party for the ordinary people and workers. These lot in the Liebour Party dont know what hard work is and are only there to get themselves rich.
Surely proper Labour supporters must be disgusted with them

Norman, I think Labour realised a few years ago that their new voters would be immigrants. The sensible working class had moved on. Of course you will always get the
“ My father /grandfather voted Labour and so will I”.
