My friend Mary Melia’s maisonette is photographed. It was the end house and it faced Station Road. She moved there in the late 1960’s with her husband and family. Happy memories of visits to my best friend. Anyone who can remember her will say the same. A kind and gentle person.

I had a good friend at school called Stephen corkhill who lived in those flats facing station road - - just as we were leaving school Stephens dad had to move his family to Nottingham for work so we lost touch. I would like to get in touch with him again if anyone has any information about the corkhill family from Hebburn who moved to Nottingham
