An old postcard photo showing a river view. The pilot boat in the foreground is the Miner and she was built by Palmer's at Jarrow in 1880 as Miner No13 for the War Office. Became Miner for the Tyne Pilotage Commissioners in 1907 and was sold to the Burntisland Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. in 1920. Broken up in 1933. So that tells us that the postcard must date sometime between 1907 and 1920.
