Two Clegwell photos

Just Re-found these two photos while browsing. They have been on the board in the past and a few names added. The class photo, I have most of the names somewhere in my files, I'm 3rd from left middle row.

Swimmers are those that were awarded the RLSS Bronze Medallion in 1957. Jarrow baths where the training and exam took place.

Why after being so RUDE to the gentleman who kindly runs this Forum have you suddenly decided to flood the site with those inferior images?
Some have nothing to do with this area but its your chance a chance to brag as usual.
Every wasted post like those means interesting ones drops off.

Nothing wrong with these Ernie and old photos are usually far from high quality but non-the-less interesting to some.
Nothing drops off the board just moves down and can still be read.

I think you should re consider what you have said.

First the photos are relevant to Hebburn, Clegwell is a Hebburn School. It still existing but now on the Lakes under a different name. The quality of the photos is actually very good particularly the 1904 era Army one’s they are scanned from the postcards by me some time ago.

That class photo came I think from Probably Mike Ellison or when Norman took it over it’s that long ago.

The army photo. Lads from Hebburn and the surrounding area were in that 1st. Durham of the Royal Engineers and the Drill Hall on Ellison Street was used by them until 1908 ish.

From your post you seem to have no idea or have forgotten Hebburn’s Military History.

I hope that you at least know of HMS Kelly, build and then repaired at Leslie’s.

The Class photo as I’ve said above years old maybe from Mike Ellison.

The Clegwell lads in swimming trunks that was posted by a member years ago. Until it was posted back then I didn’t know it existed.

I'm not bragging like some people do constantly if you know what bI mean, but I reckon Ernie is probably spoilt after seeing how I present photos properly on here.
Ernie emailed me to say he was disgusted at what AC said the other day & then he floods the board with 3 posts one after the other. .

Colin, you should remember that the site belongs to Norman and as a consequence he can do what he likes, as has been mentioned, by I think Sheila, Norman pays for the upkeep of the site not us.

If people don’t like the site maybe they should start something of their own then they can post whatever they want, say whatever they want and do whatever they want, just a thought.

While looking for a photo for another member of the board on an old PC found a file with a lot of photos that I have sent you in the past.

Those particular ones have been commented on and have been updated with names. Which you have done.

In the past you would post the latest version so my putting them up was say a prompt. Which again you have done.

The other photos that I have posted were in the same photo file so I thought post them as a lot of newer members will not have seen them. You closed the site with them all on some years ago.

How many times do I have to say sorry for what I said at Eastertime!

My comments about the AI changes to Peters Photos and my comments etc. are valid but were not intended to be insulting just for people to be more sensible type of thing. I do not insult people if they choose to interpret what I say or write that way that’s their problem.

I am accused of boasting. I do not boast, just statements of fact.

There are Things that I could boast about I don’t. Some things that I am very very proud of doing but are only divulged in certain places to certain people. To me they were just doing my job!

Maybe it's my memory but I can't seem to remember Ernie putting a post on or even a comment unless it's a bitter one!

Colin, Alan Campbell has an unfortunate way of commenting about others. He is incredibly rude and I don’t think he sees it, so although many may complain about, he comes back with the same arrogant manner.

Perhaps we should draw under line on this, as it seems to becoming a little too personal?

As was stated earlier, don't we all mellow with age, and be a little more forgiving? as No One is perfect?

Let's move on, and maybe be a bit less critical of posts..

After all, as been said before, if you're not interested in a particular post, then don't read it...

Please do not get involved with this subject they may turn on you given an excuse.

To be honest I should be having a good laugh or be amused but it’s just sadness that things have got so bad.

Regretfully all people do not mellow with age. Some do but a lot now become more aggressive ish. I’m not as bad as I used to be but control not now as good and certain things Bang!

I cant believe what is happening to this once wonderful site and a joy to look in most days, through both Mike and Norman's help I have had wonderful help with my family history long may it last

I can't help but feel that the quality of discourse on this site was better when the discussion of party politics was not allowed. We're living in a very fractured society nowadays, and unfortunately it seems like the nastiness of the political world spills out into everything else if it is allowed to.

Sadly we can’t bury our heads in the sand and pretend all is well. Your President has just had a successful visit and I for one was delighted to see him and his wife, I wonder how many others on the site are happy it went well. When people are now delighted that someone is assassinated because people don’t like his politics it’s dreadful.. obviously we are going the same way.
All the posts that don’t want politics mentioned, have not supplied an alternative.
