Norman's Hebburn board.

I have read a lot of current content and discussions on the board around disquiet araound: politics, rascism, patriosm, etc.
I wanted to pay a vote of thanks from myself to Norman for providing this forum and its allowing frankness and debate but this has to be with compramise and reason. It seems that these areas are getting lost and it seems a lot of this has occurred after Covid.
We need to remember that we live in dangerous times akin to the outbreak of the first and second world wars.
After this sombre note lest we not forget!
But Christmas is on the way.

Look forward to reading the comments on this excellent board every morning and find the range of topics extremely interesting.

You are correct Mac there is a very good range of topics, as has been said previously what doesn’t interest you don’t read it.

Norman puts up with so much, but he does allow numerous topics of conversation to be posted, a big thank you to him, we must always remember he spends time and money keeping the site going let’s hope he carries on for many years without interference.

Thank you Norman, I read the board every morning, to see what is happening over there and I also appreciate the point of view of our older members, who have seen so much more than some of us, so a valuable perspective.

Glad to hear you visit the board regularly.
By coincidence I was thinking of you a couple of days ago (Friday 19th). I was parked up in Ocean Rd outside 'The Clifton Hotel' while my wife was across the road getting our Fish'n'chips. The Clifton was where I came to drop that book off for you 2018ish.

Yes, the Clifton Hotel! I was so touched that you went to the trouble of bringing me your book to our hotel, it was so kind of you. I hope to come back as I like the look of a cliff walk from South Shields beach southward. Also for Minchellas and said Fish and Chips. When we were kids and Mam and Dad took us back up for visits, we always had Minchellas, Fish and Chips and Pork Dips as part of the ritual! I hope you are both well.

Over the last few years I found comfort in this website and support when I needed it, so keep up the good work Norman! I've made friends too. Thank you Norman for a brilliant site...

It's nice to hear my little Forum is a saviour for you and of course our wonderful ex pats scattered all around the world.
As we know by a recent Poll by Margaret McDonald, we dont have too many Hebburn regulars

. They are all on Face Book

Really, its all down to Mike Ellison who created the first Hebburn Message board way back in the 1990s.
All I did was copy Mike's great idea.

I never miss my daily check, I keeps me in touch with Hebburn and neigbouring towns, and although I don't contribute much I look forward to each day.
