Petition to stop Digital ID Cards

This is a Petition to stop Starmer's idea that we British citizens need digital ID Cards.
This same idiot is allowing thousands of fighting age men from the Middle East & Africa into the UK without any documents so we will never know who they really are. .

My husband and I signed this Petition first thing this morning, it’s one of TB’s schemes that he wanted to introduce years ago obviously he has talked Starmer into this.

It’s very obvious that as soon as they are in place, illegals will be able to buy counterfeit ID’s. This was what Tony Blair wanted but the Tory/Lib Dems cancelled it. I saw a cartoon on line with Blair operating a Starmer puppet. I do believe Blair is pushing this.

I just don’t know why we are still ‘governed’ by this horrible man, he did enough damage during the years he was PM, this morning I read he wants to be involved with governing GAZA, please let him go and live there permanently along with his wife, maybe the UK would be a better place without him??

Signed. My husband worked for IBM in London 80’s to early 2000’s. He sold computer systems all over the world to large companies. Nobody in sales wanted to deal with our Government, nobody could make a decision. I would never ever trust Government to deal with our information.

The only problem with the proposal is the Digital bit which means your mobile phone so you can be tracked.

Of course not everyone has a mobile phone, nor can they be carried on your person all the time.

However is that a problem? I’m tracked anyway by my family deliberately for safety reasons. I’m also tracked by my cycling computer software.

In any case you are tracked anyway if you have a mobile phone.

At this point in time I carry in my wallet at least 6 identity cards in one form or another. I forget I have a bank and 2 credit cards as well.

Library, driving, 4 for various clubs membership cards, health card etc. I am ignoring my phone.

Everybody and I mean everybody should have their identity information with them at all times if for nothing else than safety.

Therefore I think it best that everyone has a identity card with them at all times.

Let us have a NHS card with our photo regularly updated and other vital information that has to be carried at all times.

I could not care less if people know where I am at anytime, in fact it may be a good thing.

The only people that will not like an ID card is criminal's and other undesirables.

Can you give a good reason why you should not carry an ID card.

Don’t come back with the counterfeit thing that’s nowt to do with normal people.

Thinking back there are times when an ID card could have been very usefully had things taken a turn for the worse, thank goodness they didn’t.

Do you carry a next of kin card with you, probably not but you should. Mine need updating as faded etc.

In some other countries ID is required. Travel to the EU and new regs apply is it next month? Your passport is an ID card isn’t it!

Your car is tracked anyway by cameras on major roads and speed cameras. There are now face recognition cameras out there.

So any tracking objections are pointless anyway.

On the 11th September 1984 my Dad’s sister and husband were visiting Dad, my mother was in hospital.

As they walked down the drive with Dad he keeled over and died.

They used the house phone for an Ambulance etc.

Then they tried to contact me living 80 miles away.
They could not find any information to make contact. My home phone number was in Dad’s phone book.

Both Ann and I away at work so a no go.

No works phone no. In the phone book.

However they knew that I worked for a company in Harrogate and it was a subsidiary of a big company.

They phoned the Police and gave them the only info. That they had.

I think it took the Police about an hour or less to get in contact with our personnel officer and confirm where I was and he came and told my boss and then told me.

If I remember correctly my Aunt did not know the name of the company that I worked for only the parent company in London. So she told them that I worked for Taylor Woodrow in Harrogate and they took it from there.

So since then tried to cover all bases.

I understand that now if you do sports you have to supply various bits of info, to take part or do.

In the 80/90’s while on diving trips particularly to Scapa Flow we needed full info. Just in case. Only once required in 10:years but we had it.

I don’t know. where to start, but once more you are posting nonsense. Once we are all on the governments database, the next thing they will do is make us a cash free society. Why do I not want ID cards, because the only people who like them are communist and left wing countries. Whatever cards I carry is enough identification. I warned this would happen if the socialists got power. I also think it will be very difficult to get rid of them. It’s Blair back in power, a very dangerous man. He has got the Judges ruling over elected politicians.

Most people have some kind of identification on them anyway.
Its well known Duck Egg Starmer is Tony Blair's Puppet. He actually disagreed with Blairs ID idea at the time and suddenly now he changes his mind.
Maybe he will get a brown envelope for changing his mind?
We are one of the worlds TOP countries and we dont need to copy Countries where you have to carry ID.

The Petition against ID Cards has now gone over 1 million and rising, so I think not having an ID card wins.

Reported on the BBC it’s supposedly only for the right to work in the U.K.

If it’s just for that, why bother I ask.

I had hoped that ID cards would help in controlling immigration and help in pinpointing those who should not be in the U.K. plus identifying those that use our NHS without contributing to its cost.

An ID would help the emergency services treating people.

It’s possible that in the next few years we will have to have one anyway due to the threats that appear to be heading our way for some quarters.

Thousands & thousands of Invaders came without paperwork so we dont know who they are or what country they are from.
These digital ID cards will allow them to make up a fake name inc fictitious birthdays and then they can get an ID Card.
So what benefit is that to the UK.
NONE at all.

I decided to see just what sort of ID that I carry with me.

Putting it this way, If I’m in an accident how can my family be traced.

First would be via mobile phone. Then via the following - Bank and Credit cards. Club membership cards. A next of kin card, Hospital or Health Card, Car insurance documents. Your car registration number plate would narrow the search.

The most valuable one would be your driving license if you drive.

That has your full name and address plus photo.

You see in programs like Motorway Speed type programs it does not take the Police long to find to who a car belongs to, is it insured, MOT valid. Is the driver allowed to drive etc.

The biggest problem is that you are very unlikely to have your health information with you.

So your full details are already out there, but not Health status.

Maybe your driving licence should carry info so that an Ambulance Crew can access health details to help them say blood type and main health problems.

They can get to the information but it takes time and every second saved by good info. could save a life.

Full Information an ID only accessible by Police and health staff and they have to go through a secure system.

National ID cards were proposed in Australia around 30 or 40 years ago and ""failed"" to gain support.........THEN, All States and Territorys in Australia got rid of the old paper driving licenses and went for the ""MORE MODERN"" plastic card that showed Name, Address, Date of Birth, License Number, Card Number and a Photograph. The people who do not drive but wish to utilise ""Licensed Venues"" can obtain an ""18 Plus"" card to allow the purchase of alcohol et.. BUT at least we don't have an ID card in Australia

Steve exactly the same here, they have all information about us and as for the illegal immigrants, they will tell the government what they want to hear and decide what they think it’s best country to come from to be given asylum. I remember when the Kovosans were given asylum here, it appears lots of them were really Albanians.
