Current hairstyles

I know this isn't Hebburn based, but I do love to follow what members think.Is anybody fed up with TV featuring women with long straggly hair, down to their shoulders , and beyond. , No styling in my opinion. Now for the men, facial hair galore, moustache, beards, sideburns, all co-joined. I always thought clean shaven was best. They all look alike!! am I getting old?

Elizabeth, I hate seeing women with dirty hair, I have always tried to keep my hair looking good. As far as men go some men look good with facial hair some don’t I guess it’s what is known as beauty being in the eyes of the beholder.

Unfortunately we are all getting old and I guess our attitudes change, that’s life.

I also think old women who insisted in having a long straight Bob, look awful. I’m not saying old people should have very short hair, just a modern style, but in the end we all have different choices.

Elizabeth, Liz and Sheila, Ladies, last night Mrs. L. said to me that she is ""Off to the Hairdresser in the morning"".....meaning 1st Oct morning Aussie time..... I said ""What for ??, your hair looks fine"" I received a look that would have frozen the flamed of Hades......... what did I do wrong ??

🤣😂 Liz.

I went last week, $300 later and so far my husband hasn't even remarked or noticed. I also had my nails beautifully done, again didn't even notice. He is a kiwi. Are kiwi blokes less attentive than Geordies I wonder. Do I need to come home 😂🤣

Steve, just make sure you tell her it looks lovey when she gets home. Don’t wait until she to ask you what you think, because you will be in trouble for not noticing it’s nice😀

I agree, not really a fan of all the long hair.
It’s been very interesting to witness the different stages of our granddaughter’s hair and makeup. When she was about 14 it was the eyebrows! They were big, dark and scary. Her mam ( my lovely stepdaughter) made her get out of the car and wash them off before school when she saw them.
I got a fright walking into her bedroom at some point 2/3 years ago when I saw some sort of hair extension hanging up on the back of a chair.
Now, it’s the long hair and makeup, thankfully the eyebrows have toned down. All her friends look the same, can’t tell them apart!
It’s very funny, as someone who’s never really experimented too much with all that. I go regularly to the hairdressers to keep it nice that’s all but I admire the experimentation.
I have taken many photos for the embarrassment later.

A long time ago ago I had shoulder length hair. Photo at St Ives and Ann in a Mini skirt. Probably early 70’s.

The long hair went so that diving hood fitted better

Now a Quarter inch crew cut which I cut myself. The main reason was dandruff, which got bad after I packed in Diving in the North Sea 20 years ago.

I found out earlier in the year that the main cause was dehydration causing itchy legs and dry skin and of course dry scalp.

I had for years used a well known hair treatment but it was making things worse.

Upping my water consumption and bought an alternative hair shampoo expensive at £13 per bottle but it works and as only use a small amount works.

I don’t mind any hair style as long as it’s as if it’s looked after. But some I think have you looked in the mirror !

I cannot stand a beard or tash to itchy.

I've been asked what has Scuba Diving in the North Sea got to do with a thread about hair styles.
All I could say was no idea because we've heard his diving many many times.

For goodness sake get over our disagreement around Easter time.

As for having short hair because of a diving hood if you have no experience of the sport say nowt.

If people are writing to you about this I think they are very sad indeed.

I as this Forum's owner am allowed to pass on my board members comments. Please dont personally attack me.
We have regulars that never post, but they read the board everyday and look forward to it.
