Newcastle would have been healthier in those electric Tramcar days. I remember the 50s when diesel buses took over, spewing out poisonous exhaust fumes, especially when waiting for a bus in Worswick St.

47 bus from Worswick Street back to Hebburn.
Remember the diesel stink well.
Also the ferry Hebburn to walker the smell from the Bone Yard.
