Hebburn Colliery from the air 1946

This aerial photo is for a lady born Elizabeth Goodall born & brought up in Arthur St. She attended the Colliery Board School but then in the mid to late 40s her family moved to York where she still lives.
Elizabeth is well into her 80s now and has always hoped that one day I'd find her a photo of her 'Beloved Arthur St'. I've tried but so far haven't found one. Maybe someone might read this & have one?

I DO love this particular photo, what our Donnie describes as his "playground" as a kid.

He was living with Grandma Kirtley in Arthur Street when this photo was taken, and my parents Nancy & Harold Siddle had a house in Frederick Street.

Just next to the Bede Metal Works is a row of houses on Waggoway Road, where my GG Grandmother (Isabel) lived, when she passed away in 1918, a bit before this photo.
