Teenage years best friends.

I am trying to find out if my best friends from years ago are still with us, Jimmy Cowell who lived in Collingwood Street and George McVittie b who lived in Palmer Street, Jarrow.
I knew a Jimmy Cowell who was the Store Keeper in RW Transmissions in Hebburn when I was there 1965 to 1970ish. I was in my 20s then and he was an older man but could be his father. I think he lived in Shields or Marsden.
