Yet another SCAM

Yesterday I received a call on my landline phone. I answered because I have had problems with it for months. (Long story) Apparently from British Telecom. However, it did take me a while to realise that it could possibly be a scam. Very cultured voices of two different people, very technically presented and seemingly very knowledgeable. Subject was a very serious problem with the internet which had compromised my internet link and had to be fixed urgently etc etc I listened for a while challenging them frequently. They would NOT be put off so when I suspected they were after my banking details I immediately terminated the call. BE AWARE AS YOU COULD BE NEXT.

WELL DONE RHODA. Lots of elderly people will get caught out by these scammers. Maybe you should ring BT and tell them about it and they will have a department that investigates these scum.
