A sad story to end 2025 but unfortunately a sign of our current times

Recently I lost a dear friend, another friend of ours has been clearing out our late friend’s house, whilst clearing out the cupboards our friend found loads of tins, jars etc of food all still in date which she was advised would be accepted at a Tesco store near to where she lived, I have to say the area is quite an affluent place.

My friend was horrified to find a couple of elderly people hovering by the food bank, they had bags with them, I wouldn’t say they were begging but, they were most grateful to receive whatever was offered to them, saying that they were finding times extremely hard with the continued rise in the cost of living.

Why in this day and age are our elderly reduced to this when we provide, most generously, to all and sundry who rock up on our shores, surely our own people should, at the very least, be given the same as these ‘new comers’ are offered, this situation really can’t be allowed to carry on.

Liz, it is indeed a sad story, that some old people are really suffering. The difference with the elderly and the young. The elderly feel shame to ask for help and think it is like begging. Some young people are brought up to believe it’s their right that the government should provide for them. None have thought that the only money any government has is from the tax payer.

The situation is so bad now that foodbank donations have dropped quite drastically in some areas. A lot of companies have collection schemes and most Premier league and football clubs have match day collections for cash and food donations but when you realise the numbers using food banks are still climbing its like trying to hold back the tide.

And this idiotic Government are now talking about building Council Houses for Illegals whilst we have thousands of our own looking for accommodation, you couldn’t make it up !

Its hard to believe that 'Duckegg Starmer'can dictate whatever he wishes & no one opposes him. Do LIEBOUR MPs not realise they will never get elected again once 'Release the Sausages Starmer' and his Cronies have to fight the next Election.

What scares me Norman, we may never be given a vote, to vote them out. More like a communist country every day.
