I run the board because over 20 years ago I found Mike Ellison' Hebburn.org site and started posting on it and recognised it was a great idea Mike had started. Then as you know Mike decided to call it a day and handed it over to Vikki Lawlor who ran it until 2016 and decided to close without much notice that weekend. She wouldn't pass it on so I quickly created my own Forum and tried letting regulars know my plan via 'her' site.
I think we lost some good regulars who missed my a anouncement.Then just days later (Nov 2016) this Forum began operating.
Is that what you guessed David?

Pretty much Norman, happy new year to you and family.
I will be booking an MOT at garage next couple of days.

I think it took me two years to actually find you Norman. I was so upset when the board just disappeared and so very glad when I found you. Thank you Norman! I love all the photos and local history and the bit of Geordie banter.

When Vikki found out what I was doing she closed Mike's old board down immediately and well before the weekend. I remember a regular on the old Hebburn.org site was called Mel Luke ex Military & he never found us so how many others did we lose?

Norma, to be honest I don’t think that I would have found you if you hadn’t emailed me to advise you were starting your Board so thanks for that.
