Marshals shop

Anyone remember this shop opposite the long gone Newtown school mr and Mrs Marshall lovely couple used to get our threpeny cigs there before going to school

I was at Hebburn Tech in the early 1960s and there was a Hebburn lad called Malcolm Marshall in my class who lived in North Farm Rd.

Yes Norman - Malcolm Marshall lived originally in a flat on North Farm Road then when they built a couple of bungalows on some spare ground opposite the flats they moved into the end one practically opposite the entrance of Kent Avenue. Malcolm will be about in his early eighties if he is still with us.
His Father worked in Reyrolles I think he was a superintendent in the Welders.
