True words. I live in an adult community and have seen neighbors pass away. Their next of kin are usually left in a pickle as they don't know what finances, utility bills, insurance etc that they have to deal with. I suggest that you keep a list of all your dealings and let the next of kin know where you keep the list. Even though they grieve they will be thankful that you did that.

So true Bill, there must be thousands of bank accounts still holding money in them belonging to people who have passed away , people dealing with their affairs might have no knowledge of these accounts.

Itemise everything, bank accounts, utility bills, membership payments that kind of thing, it also makes life easier for those having to deal with the affairs of those who have passed away.
