The problem with Reyrolle was too good a quality. They made a switchgear called L42 and it is still working after pre WWII manufacture. Maybe Colin Mc Allister out in Australia will verify that Reyrolle OYT has run across wide open spaces for decades. I think the move to Rolls Royce was a bad one because the high quality in RR Nuclear alone priced them out of orders. Sad really....

Stan is right! Companies bought Switchgear from Reyrolles just once and because it lasted forever they never had to purchase a replacement. Other Companies making TV's, Cars, Washing Machines etc etc know that one day replacements will be needed and thats how they all continue to survive.
